Well, where do we begin. This was the first time in 32 years that we were selling and buying a home and we didn't know where to start. We worked with three relators, and all made good presentations. We selected Jan because of her unique knowledge of our subdivision since she was a neighbor. We also selected Jan because she made us feel very comfortable, she has a very warm personality. Jan stated from the beginning that her job was to find us properties that we liked and so she noted the many criteria that we hoped for and matched those with what the market offered. Jan provided her thoughts on a property when asked, and in several instances simply told us this is not for us. We appreciated her comments throughout and since the last home we bought was 32 years ago. Jan made the entire process of selling/finding a home easier and certainly fun, we connected with Jan and hope we will remain friends for many years. We bought in a sellers' market and so competition was high on the offers we made. Finally, after 5 offers we found a home that we liked and actually sealed the deal. The selling of our home was set for closing and went well. Jan helped negotiate the terms of the selling contract using her extensive knowledge and grit (she is pretty tough and straightforward about it). We bought our home when we had only two weeks before the closing of the home we sold, so that was a tense time. Jan was their throughout and did all she could working with our lawyer to make it happen and it did. Working with Jan on the sale and purchase of both homes was a really great experience.
